Something unavoidably nerdy about me is that I have an extensive playing, running and writing tabletop role-playing games (rpgs). If you don't know, that's the general name for the type of game that Dungeons & Dragons is. My experience in different facets of this hobby has been one of my main creative outlets, and the source for several of my friendships. I have been relatively disengaged from it recently, but I still think about it pretty regularly and I'm sure I'll pick it up again eventually.

The (publically available) rpgs I have the most experience with are:

• Risus
• Troika
• Paranoia XP
• sighs Dungeon World

A few I'd like to try out some day are:

• Classic Traveller
• Talislanta
• En Garde!
• Wolves Upon the Coast, Luke Gearing
• "The Vanilla Game." This is one of countless streamlined version of old-school d&d, but this one was written by a friend, so that's the one I'd do.
